You guys clearly dont follow DT stats much, if a DT is getting 60+ tackles or 10+ TFL, they are having big years.

You can't compare these DT individual stats to those of the past 5 years. Freak and Ego play almost every snap. In past, definitely wasn't case

Up until this past week they have been somewhat of a disappointment IMO. However they stepped their game up and played great along and brought the rest of the dline along with them. Hope they keep it up!

This team hasn't made nearly as many plays in the backfield as previous LSU defenses. You want to measure the success of your DTs, look at those stats.

I do not believe they are overrated. DT do not normally have big statistics. I like ego and I like freak.

This. People are morons. Ego and Freak have been damn good. They have one below average game and people call them overrated.

These rantards act like they could do better.

I have a lot of respect for our D line.

Freak excelled when he wasn't double teamed. I think we just have extremely high expectations for him. He's a good player maybe just not great yet. I saw him easily beat his lineman on one play and get flattened the next. I haven't made up my mind on him yet. Can't really compare him to ego cause he's facing way more double teams. Having good linebackers also helps the lineman get to the ball carrier and qb. We don't have those. Just my opinion.

The biggest hurdle has been replacing the production you got from Sam M., Mingo, and Edwards.

If we had even a decent MLB I dont think anyone would ever be upset with the play of Freak and Ego

I can't agree. "Freak", henceforth AJ, has good quickness, but he gets manhandled a LOT, and he's rarely double-teamed. Once an Olineman locks him up he's getting pushed backwards or pancaked. Ego doesn't have AJ's quickness, but he's more of a warrior.
