Do you run with your iPod? (Posted on 10/13/13 at 12:05 pm)
The iPod I've had since late 2008 just died on me. After talking to an Apple hipster in my class I learned that the only iPod model you're supposed to run with is the shuffle because it doesn't have a standard hard drive that can get messed up bouncing around. Is this true? I'd rather get a standard iPod but I do want to run with it too.
ETA: I've got a smartphone loaded with music but I don't want to run with it and risk dropping it.

I doubt running with an iPod Classic is gonna hurt the hard drive.

There's your problem. I would recommend getting another classic or just using your phone. It sucks though, since Apple is intent on forgetting about the iPod Classic. The closest alternative is the IPod Touch which is kind if stupid since it it basically an iPhone.
