Great write up about this young kid. Hope he can step in and show some leadership on defense. I think the young guys will get us to ATLANTA!!

Watching him play I get the feel of a mixture between peterson and mo claiborne. Not quite as electric as peterson but smooth like claiborne. He looks like a pure cover corner someone you can put man to man with a teams best wideout and not worry. That is what this team needs if he is able to do that then you are able to cheat help over to the other corners and not worry. With peterson, claiborne, and even simon we were able to do this.

This kid will be a monster the next few seasons. It was only a matter of time for this kid to take over a starting role

even simon

This yr has made me realize that, despite how much he got ripped on here, Simon was actually a pretty good cover corner. No, hes not in the stratosphere of a PP or Mo, but was definitely a big step up from the Jalens'

Really excited about our two corners now. Mills showed up well as a nickle back and White has been very good at the other corner. We just need more playing time and these guys will be solid.

best of all, he could be the spark to ignite the whole defense.

I see a vastly improving secondary making the whole defense better.

When SOMEBODY starts making plays it gets infectious.

Everybody nationally is drooling over VH3, but I've got a feeling these guys are going to play a better game Saturday.

I think y'all are right about one thing, These two could spark an entire defensive turnaround. Most teams don't have one shutdown corner. These guys are both rapidly developing into one. With two ballhawking corners, we'll stack the box. Everything changes at that point.

I assume you are talking about vernon Hargreaves at Florida.

Otherwise, I have no idea what vh3 means

I got two questions for yall. I know i could google it but i like to bring a little discussion to the board.

1. Where is Tharold Simon playing and does he start or get playing time?

2. Are there any other SEC teams that have two freshman starting at corner? If so, are there any other teams in the nation with two freshman corners starting?

Rashard is the future.

He's going to have a game changing play against Florida.

You've hit it on the head right there in my book. I can't stand those who act like this kid is better than PP or that he is the next PP clone. The way I see it is that nobody can even compare this guy with PP7 in any way other than measurables.

I like the mix between Mo and PP when looking at his body type though. There is so much more to be seen when trying to describe him that measurables and speed is really all that we can site here.

I do love the fact that he is on the field and that his background is nearly parallel to PP's. Patrick was held back by Urban's petition to the NCAA and didn't get to campus til roughly the same time as RR. Of coarse we didn't need PP quite as much as we need RR. This alone should put RR squarely in the sights of reporters and fans alike. This kid is going to be great no doubting it.

another thing that really jumps out to me is that Mills is all over mentoring him on the mental aspects of his development. That is huge for RR and speaks volumes to me about Mills. Even if Mills gets taken out of the starting lineup by youngsters, he will graduate from LSU and be a well respected part of this program IMO.

I'd like an answer to this question along with Ron Brooks and Brandon Taylor...
