Hope he gets in there and injects a little of that LSU D Swag. Wish TM7 could come back and give a swag inspirational speech to the DBs

Simon is on the PUP list at Seattle (so they did not have to cut him)

I was honestly expecting white to do what Robinson is doing and vice versa. White will get there. Robinson is surprising the frick out of me.

FYI the comparisons to PP started with both jr. And sr.

Patrick Peterson that is. His dad was Rashards trainer.

re: Rashard Robinson catches up quickly at LSU
I can understand comparing him to an awesome athlete like PP. I especially understand the comparisons based on his background with the Petersons. What I can;t agree with is claiming that he is anything like a PP clone. I just see PP as a totally unique specimen. Maybe the two will be twins after a few years but I just do not see RR in the same mold at this time. I see him closer to the next Mo with a little more aggression.

For instance, Mo wasn't really a good punt returner at that level while PP was a horse at punts and KOs. PP was more of a solidly built safety prospect who's speed and change of direction allowed him to cover lights out. He also was the best receiver on the field IMO but his ability to shut down anyone in the passing game was too important on the defensive side.

Maybe I will be proven wrong? Lord knows it won't be the first time. To say that anyone is at the same level as PP7 is saying that that player could end up playing anywhere in the secondary or at the WR or slot receiver positions in the NFL AND make it to at least a few pro bowls in his career at those positions.

Yeah I agree with you on that, he's a different athlete.

Pat sr. says to this day that rashard is better in man coverage than pat jr was at the same age.

Maybe not put returner, but kick returner he was good. I dont recall him ever fielding any punts actually. But Mo was electric in high school, I actually thought they would play him on offense cus he was so good with the ball in his hands. He did play qb and made some amazing plays running all over the field.

Simon is on the PUP list, I saw Brooks mention being injured on Twitter, and all I know is that BT is in San Diego. Not sure if he plays at all.

R. Robinson plays natural and is a pure natural corner who needs little coaching.

Not me. From stuff I gather on the recruiting board, I knew he would see the field. Me and this other guy was arguing somebody down about that. This guy was saying that he's too scrawny, just got on campus, and would need a redshirt. The guy looked SEC ready to me and in just a couple weeks, this new look secondary will be a beast. All we need to do is switch the linebackers up. The DL will have to work itself out by itself.

That is extremely exciting to hear. Not taking anything away form RR at all but I wonder how polished he is compared to PP at this age due to his being mentored by the Petersons? again, not trying to take anything from him at all but this might be biggest reason why he is able to be inserted so quickly? College receivers are doing things that the average HS kid never sees even after going thru a few summer camps. On top of that, their QBs are throwing balls that are way more difficult to cover (of coarse).

I'll bet that practicing against our two wide outs could really be a huge advantage for him this year as well. OBjr and Landry are doing things that I expect to see Saints receivers doing. The Chief must be trying to cram knowledge into this kid with a plunger!

I am going to really pay attention to him against Fla this weekend. I love the thought of this defense having a corner that can lock down his island from here on out. It really helps the squad from the trench guys to the safeties.

I was often reminded of his offensive background in HS when he would make his interceptions look like a text book receiver going up for the ball at the highest point of his jump.

Every ball thrown in his area was in jeopardy of being picked off by Mo and I eventually came to expect him to make every catch that a polished receiver should make.

We sure were lucky to have him and PP7 on the field at the same time back then.

Miles lite up when they brought up White and Robinson and Mills at nickel. Just going off his reactions, they must be playing extremely well in practice right now. His face to those two questions was a good sign for the defense. He also seemed to lowly speak on Loston coming back to play (maybe because Thompson has been looking really good too ).

Wonder if Blue can give us a change of pace player at RB anytime soon or will Brazil be used to spread the defense out? I think those option or tosses to the sideline would be money with Brazil.

The fact that we have two true freshman playing and making such an impact bodes well for this year and the next few. Agreed with a previous poster, if we can cover better it changes the game (pun intended).
