Just to get it out in the open. Its somewhat LSU related.

quote:

NCAA President Mark Emmert has a special relationship with Alabama head football coach Nick Saban.

As chancellor at LSU from 1999 to 2004, Emmert hired Saban as his football coach and eventually helped make him the highest-paid coach in the nation at $2.3 million.

"Chancellor Emmert is absolutely the best boss I've ever had," Saban said at LSU in 2004. "He's the most significant reason I was interested in the job. Never once has he disappointed me."

This is going to get really ridiculous very soon. Auburn's big bro won't even so much as sniff any sanctions from any of this.

I hate Mark Emmert for what he did to LSU when I was a student.

sheesh, and this article doesn't even mention the latest "issue" with Clinton-Dix getting $$$ from a member of the coaching staff (!!) with known ties to a sports agent(!!!)....

Only thing thats going to keep Bama in check is the media and that won't mean anything.

ESPN is the media entity that owns CFB now.

They will protect the Mulliganites and their "dynasty" at all costs. Can't have another USC blow up in their faces.

That's why CFB resembles the WWE this year in every other conference. Commissioners all over the country are protecting their "brand" teams more than ever with crooked officiating, and when they can, easier scheduling. I've said it a dozen times here, this is the "Bamification" of the sport.

Bama is showing other brand teams the blueprint to "success", and it has nothing to do with earning it on the field, but everything to do with setting it up off the field.

No doubt the NCAA sucks at nearly everything, but kudos to them for at least SAYING this type of thing, which is far more than we can expect from our own damn conference office:

quote:

"If an enforcement staff member or leadership, Committee on Infractions member or even the association president has any connection with a member school under investigation, that person is immediately recused from the case and has absolutely no role with either investigating or deciding penalties for that infractions case," NCAA spokeswoman Emily Potter told USA TODAY Sports in a statement.
