LSU men's basketball made another big splash on Tuesday morning when the Tigers picked up a commitment from Lakeview Centennial (Texas) senior center Elbert Robinson.
Robinson is 7-feet, 322 pounds and is a consensus four-star prospect. Rivals and ESPN both have Robinson ranked as the fifth best center prospect in the country while he is also ranked 51st and 54th overall respectively by the services.

He picked the Tigers over Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Ohio State and Georgetown.

Robinson becomes the second 2014 prospect to commit to Coach Johnny Jones and the Tigers after Tioga forward Aaron Epps.

Elbert Robinson
The Garland, Texas product averaged 12.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game as a sophomore and upped those averages to 14.0 points and 12.5 rebounds as a junior while adding 6.0 blocks a game. Robinson also sports a 7-foot-5 wingspan that gives him even more length in the lane.

Robinson's size would become an immediate boost to the Tigers' roster, as the only center listed on the 2013-14 roster is 7-foot Australian Darcy Malone, who is listed at 229 pounds. He has 66 pounds on LSU junior forward Johnny O'Bryant, the Tigers' heaviest player.

he is big and all but hard to get excited about him after watching his highlight film. Needs a lot of molding

He has a 6 inch vertical. I didn't see one dunk in his highlights.

He does need a lot of work, but you have to be excited about getting a kid of his size

Seriously?? If this is the same kid I saw highlights on last week. You need to look at the highlights because I saw an agile moving, shot blockin, dunking big man that will be real good in time LINK
