Fall/winter lawn issue question within this thread

I've noticed a lot of random broad leafs and weeds popping up recently, and in some spots taking over large areas. I 2-4-d'd my yard in the spring and it worked fine. What should I do now?

I do know that I am dethatching my yard, fertilizing with Scotts winter guard, and playing rye grass tomorrow. Want to help?

Spot spray the weed patches with a pump sprayer or something with more coverage?

24D it again but hurry while the temps are > 70 or you'll have to hit it a follow up 14 or so days after.
