This is the phone I have now. I am planning on getting me an Iphone 5-ummajig and was wondering what are some must have apps for hunting and fishing and which case do y'all recommend. I haven't done any research but I am currently thinking the Navionics App and a Sunrise/Sunset App. TIA

navionics is by far the best $10 I have spent if your a fisherman.
isolunar is a good one as well for fishing and hunting, crazy how accurate it is sometimes.

I second this. As far as cases go, I have owned several Otterboxes but I now have a Lifeproof case and am very pleased with it.

As far as cases go i have the Magpul field case on mine. It doesn't offer any screen protection but isn't bulky like some cases and it's cheap

Only drawback is you need the adapter unless your using and official Apple plug in. But it was worth the money to me. Slim and fits in my pocket good.

don't know if you are dead set on iphone, but i absolutely hate mine. once my contract expires, if i can help it, i will never again purchase an apple product.

The apple chager that comes with the phone will work with the case. Most after market chargers won't. Thus you need an adapter to fit inside the case.

Also handy to have is this. Dock cable extender. That way even with a case you can plug into a dock. I have one by my bedside radio/clock/dock.

I have the iPhone 4s so not sure if all that is true for the 5

Holy crap. I haven't seen a picture of a Motorola Razor in about a decade. That was all the hype back in the heyday.

Cases for Iphone

The only correct answer for the OB is Magpul...

But seriously they are decent cases in terms of dent resistance and flexibility. If you want a more water and mud resistant case you could go with a LifeProof. I'm on my 2nd LifeProof and I think it's great.

Pros:

-Very slim (not nearly as bulky as an Otter)
-Not sticky (easier to get out the pocket; my otter was IMPOSSIBLE to get out my jeans pocket if I was driving)
-completely sealed (phone still looks new when removed)
-thin screen protector

Cons:

-Need a headphone jack adapter for audio
-Only small Apple chargers will work in the bottom without a charger adapter
-The sound is not as loud from the regular speaker since there is no air for it to go through (not a huge difference just an annoyance)
-The trap door at the bottom must be opened to hear someone on speaker phone (since that's where the larger speaker is)

But I think the LifeProof is well worth the money.

I'll 3rd the recommendation for Navionics. Basically has the same functionality as my buddy's hand held GPS and only cost 10 bucks. Can share spots via email directly from the app too.

Don't get lifeproof. Flimsy screen protector doesn't sit flat, trouble with touch screen buttons. Several problems, google it.

Get Survivor+Catalyst case. Waterproof, hard screen, no issues.

I have the magpie one and love it. But I don't get it wet. Lifeproof is the only real answer if you will
