-Reid and his ability to get everyone lined up correctly.
-Minter cleaning up all running plays.
- Simon being a true lock down corner.
-Mingo's pass rush

My pick is Reid.

Based on the defensive breakdowns v. UGA the biggest losses were as follows:

1. Minter (you would think I'd put Reid first because of the secondary breakdowns but this speaks to how terrible Welter has been)

2. Reid (Loston is awful in coverage and now injured again)

3. Logan (would've given us a much better 3-man DT rotation)

Early Enrolled, I thought I was on the recruiting board but I have to agree that Minter would be first, getting better lined up would have help. A lot of communication breakdown period.

yeah Minter is far and away the guy that would help the most. pass D wasn't so hot toward the back end of last yr even with Reid and Simon.

think about, each defensive section lost their best man and leader. with logan, minter, reid and simon, we beat georgia and imo NC bound. lsu just can't achieve the "stability" needed to win the NC once again. we have to throw our QB off the team and get stuck with 2 mediocre guys, have coaching problems with krag's illness, peline getting replaced with 2 mediocre guys and now when we finally get our offense in high gear we lose the heart and soul of our defense one year early. i guess we'll win another one but it seems that lady luck is not just what happens on the field. i think the thing that pisses me off the most is that goddamn bama gets lucky as shite with saban and then keeps most of its juniors and then gets two consecutive years of "temporary" schedules that lend themselves to undefeated seasons. and may get more welfare in the form of the NEW 2 year temporary schedules.
