Just tried to watch The Long Ranger (spoilers)

I made it through 1.5 of the 2.5 total hours this terrible movie spans. When The Long Ranger knocks out Tonto when Tonto is about to kill the main bad guy that clearly and unequivocally needs to die, I shut it off immediately. Am I missing anything by not watching the last hour? Hard to imagine the movie salvaging itself after that senseless, mind-boggling decision.
