What would be the easiest sport for an average Joe to qualify for the Olympics if he/she took a year off to train. Summer or winter.

Curling? Trampoline? Handball?.....

And no I'm not trying this..just curious.

you should. Just being in the Olympic village makes it worth it. It's one big sex party where you could bang as many as hot, in shape athletic chicks as you can.

The answer is to find a country that you have an ethnic connection to, find a sport you're decent at that they have no tradition in, and join their Olympic team. The Greek and Italian baseball teams in the last Olympics consisted mostly of American citizens, many of whom had never set foot in the Old Country prior to becoming Olympians.

Bobsledding? Vonetta Flowers from inner-city Birmingham, AL won a gold medal and I saw a news story the other week of a young man from inner-city Birmingham going to train in Utah for Olympic bobsledding

Don't they go through 1500 condoms a night or something like that? Add in the fact that it's in Brazil I can't imagine how much sex they are going to have.

The average Joe is probably not an elite sprinter, though, and that's who they're looking for to crosstrain into bobsledding.

Skeleton

Not "easy" if value your life...but almost nobody does it and not high skill level because control is minimal.

Two Olympics ago, some guy practiced for a few months and was on the US team...if I remember correctly.

Those guys are speedwalking at around 6:15 per mile for 20km.....12.4 miles. Most people can't run that fast.
