Real Estate Agents Question

so i decided to get my license and i have to say the school and final test was pretty hard, now i have to take the state exam next week and i'm nervous. Is the state test gonna be as hard as the schools test were? or do they just make that hard so that the study more.

That was the case when I took it. The actual exam itself was very easy. I think only a few people in my class failed.

My wife passed it with a quickness. Unless you're some kind of dolt, you should pass if prepared. Oh, and she was an actual Realtor(tm), not some fake real estate agent (real estate joke).

My wife worked for Century 21. They had an excellent training program and provided a fast track to becoming a Realtor.

from what I understand they make the final test much harder than the exam because they like to advertise that a high percentage of their students passed the exam.

It was significantly easier than the school tests. They throw a lot of "gimmees" on the real thing. Shouldn't be a problem.

The National portion of the exam is easy but the Louisiana part is tricky because of our unique laws. I pretty large percentage of people fail the state part on the first try.

Are you really worried about failing in an industry you consider to be a racket that will frick up the deal 50/50 and don't deserve what you make? Are you gonna slide money under the table when someone brings you a deal if they threaten to crash the transaction if you dont?
You'll fail or lose your license in under 3 years. Save yourself some time/money

why i'm getting my license so i can legally collect checks, in part thanks to you. that thread got me thinking i should just get a license instead of relying on people to do the right thing.
and in that example, i real estate was absolutely not needed. the guy had nothing to do with anything but since he had a license got to collect almost 50k if i remember right. if he'd found the deal put it together. sure, i'd had no problem with it.

Pretty accurate. And that's with being a million dollar seller... which is why my wife isn't in real estate anymore.
The money is in getting your broker's license and selling commercial properties.

Depends on market, residential here is more 50-75k i would guess. I see value in what i do everyday, but i get it. IMO, Plant jobs and financial advisors can be done by retarded monkeys from my armchair, but I'm sure its short sighted.

It's definitely a % of the industry, but the crash did kill off a few. They do 2-4 transactions a year and spend the rest of the time planning retreats and what conventions they will attend.
