He was discussing if LSU is still in the hunt. He said yes and that he thinks both LSU and UGA are better than Bama. Also said right now a 1 loss SEC team like UGA or LSU would get in over an undefeated Ohio St. because of who they played aka schedules.

People always say this but it won't happen. The computer polls are only a third of the formula. There's no way the majority of human voters are going to keep an undefeated BCS conference team out of the title game. Louisville is the only possibility.

Do we get SOS credit even for a loss?

Does just playing UGA help us, even if we lose?

1 loss UGA or LSU team after the SECCG would mean that team had a 3-1 record against top 10 teams. It's still way too early but the point was that LSU is still in the hunt and somewhat still control their own destiny. Les has said something similar to the team in relation to team goals.

every year we say that multiple teams will be undefeated and what happens, teams lose. Last year K-State has pretty much punched their ticket to Miami. What happened, they shite the bed against Baylor sending a 1 loss team to play ND. LSU is definitely in this!

I think undefeated Oregon, Clemson, or Louisville would get in before a 1 loss SEC team. Clemson on the strength of beating us last year and UGA this year and Louisville by smoking the Gators last year.

Won't go unbeaten. FSU is the greater ACC threat though they visit Clemson. If either do win out, they go over one-loss SEC winner.

Any unbeaten Pac-12 champion goes to the BCSCG.

Louisville never beats out a one-loss SEC champ with their schedule.

Big 12: Unbeaten Oklahoma this year goes over one-loss SEC champ. But would Baylor? Their OOC schedule sucked.

The real question is Ohio State, but it is highly likely that a 12-1 SEC champ gets the nod over the Buckeyes due to Big Ten craptacularness.

We will not be "in the hunt" and not in "control of our own destiny" until we figure out how to control opposing offenses even in the slightest way.

All I know is that the last 7 years the SEC has been represented and won and that other conferences will be fighting for that other spot (unless the SEC champ has 2 losses and then it will be 2 non-SEC teams).

If there ever was a year when Miles needs to unleash the dogs for 4 quarters this is it. If LSU has a realistic prayer to jump an undefeated BCS conference champ they will have to put up Oregon like numbers every game while reestablishing defensive dominance. Winning 30-17/27-14 games will not work.

This will work:

LSU 50 MSU10
LSU 37 FL 12
LSU 45 OM 17
LSU 27 Bama 13
LSU 47 AR 13
LSU 52 A&M 30
LSU 56 GA 27

Roll out like this and LSU will be impossible to ignore with one loss. Short of something like this I don't see them jumping an undefeated BCS conference champ.

Jesus how much fapping would go on if the offense put up those numbers the rest of the year. I'd probably pass out before the A&M game!

We really needed Georgia to have beaten Clemson. In retrospect, that sucks terribly. Oh well, it's just October 1st. shite happens every year. There will not be 6-7 unbeatens. We'll see how it all shakes out.

A 1 loss Bama would get the nod but I'm not sure a 1 loss LSU or UGA would get the nod if there are other undefeated teams. Bama got a once in a lifetime opportunity in 2011 and I don't think any other team will ever get that again. But Bama is Bama and the press is the press.

I do not think there will be any undefeated teams at the end of the year so we still control our own destiny. We can win the SEC West, SEC and play for the NC.

There could very well be four undefeated BCS teams (Oregon/Stanford, Ohio State, Louisville, and Florida State/Clemson). I just don't see a 1 loss SEC champion jumping all of those, especially with the perceived fall off in SEC defenses. Still a lot of football to play though.
