Will teams start doubling him at the line of scrimmage to prevent a good release? Gonzalez just got taken out completely last few plays with 2 Linebackers preventing him to get out to his route.

no, Drew's too good for that shite.

Jimmy isn't weaksauce like Tony GString

Our wide receivers would be super wide open and Drew's line would be 40/40 450 yards and 5 TDs.

We have too many other weapons and a QB that knows how to find them when it counts.

Brees gets everyone involved on the field

If so Sean will have to pull out those 2006-20007 Reggie decoy plays

Gonzalez is Ryan's go to guy in the red zone. Brees goes to the guy that's open. Let him know 2 defenders are out of the play and he will light you up.
Plus you use motion across the formation to prevent that if you want. Why the falcons didn't try that I don't know.

you answered your own question

I'd love to see them try. So would Marques Colston and Lance Moore and Darren Sproles and...

I know. I just wanted to try to be nice.

After thinking about it a little longer, Brees would just pick them apart with Colston, Moore, or whoever else on the field. It was just something I noticed at the end of the game how Patriots played it.

The Pats will do that and put Talib on Colston. And watch Stills have his biggest game to date.

Wouldn't putting Jimmy in motion prevent that from happening?

no. when tony g is shut down, the falcons slow down a great bit. heres a laundry list of what will happen if more than one player is used to shut down jimmy.
1. colston out, deep middle
2. sproles screen, late out the back field, out, crossing, up the middle
3. moore on every possible wr option
4. piere mutliple options
well if you noticed, all of these things happens with single coverage on jimmy so opponents can choose to double cover but shite will get real ugly real fast. it just takes a better coach and qb than whats in atl to adjust.

You can do that with Brees
Just like Payton and Brady would light you up if you tried that.
Matty Ice missed to wide open WRs and even when Tony had some space he did not make a good throw
oh well!!! WHO DAT!!

Im interested to see if the Pats try this or maybe put Swag Talib on Graham
Dennard might struggle if matched up against Colston because of his height, but thats never stopped him from making plays before.
Anytime you get Hightower in one on one coverage, its a win for yall. Falcons abused him in coverage last night. Gregory needs to get his head out of his arse, he looked lost out there last night for a veteran. Hopefuly Wilfork is back so he can clear out some of the double teams off of Jones (which has been a monster this season)
ETA Wilfork is out for the season frickkkkk
