I am all for cancer awareness and hope that find a cure tomorrow, but I hate the next 4 weeks of the NFL starting next week. Its just too much.

I like it. Every time someone buys some of that gear, money goes to research. And the NFL players wearing it for a month makes the fans and HS/college players buy it.

Without the NFL's support, how else could the Komen Foundarion strong arm smaller charities?

It's already been established that like 90 percent of the pink shite goes straight to NFL profit.

Plus, the Falcons should wear pink EVERY week.

I had heard that before. But the youth and HS kids aren't usually buying the NFL licensed gear. Just nike and UA gear. I'm sure it's no more than 15% there either, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

I hate that pink shite. So over the top. Breast cancer charities get such a disproportionate amount of the $$$ already - it's a cynical marketing ploy by NFL and I hate that people fall for it.

frick the stupid arse pink shite.

Bitches get enough attention. It's the NFL, for Christ's sake, how about pushing some prostate cancer awareness?

You'd think they'd do something for prostate cancer. Ya know the whole target audience thing and all.

ETA: Or better yet heart disease since it's the leading cause of death among men.

Agree.

My problem with the pink isn't the cancer awareness fact. I just think breast cancer awareness is extremely overdone now. The komen foundation has done a lot of great things and is probably the largest awareness organization there is. Why not raise awareness for something else now, that more widely effects men.
