Deadpool: The Good The Bad & The Ugly- Someone is stealing Wade's organs, it's pissing him off. Goes to Wolverine and Cap for help. One of the best books for non-fanboys to jump into.
Also Sidekick by J. Michael Straczynski..This is an Image Comics book, so naturally a little darker and for the non initated has nothing to do with Marvel or DC universes. Basically, a once up and coming sidekick by the name of FlyBoy's life has been in shambles ever since the death of his mentor(great death scene btw) a few years ago. He's a drunk, thought of as a joke, sucidial, etc. Flashbacks of the good times are woven into the story as he tries to get his life back on track..
Powers:Bureau
one of my favorite series of all time.Anyone who is lucky enough to find the original run in TPB form at the local library, do yourself a favor and check them out. Anyway, Powers has always been inspired by M/TV board's favorite David Simon's(The Wire) book, Homicide:A Year on the Killing Streets. A city where Heroes and Villains are fricked up, and are usually murdered. Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, once cops, now FBI agents investigate the kind of fricked up shite one would see as "normals" in this world. Pretty graphic in nature. This remains one of the most promising books to be adapted for film or TV... Bureau is a nice starting point for non-readers, since in a way a whole new chapter is being told. Written by the great Bendis.
Also reading Battle of the Atom- hoping for more proof that Cyclops is(and was always) right.
Mighty Avengers-proof that black superheroes can carry their own title(and evidence that black actors have plenty of options playing great characters). Luke Cage's is feeling pretty empty about heroics since he left the Avengers and returned to his security/ Heroes for Hire business. Monica Rambeau is looking for an image change, the new Power-Man is in his youthful "everything has a meaning phase" and Doc Ock/Spider-Man is protecting the city. Series jumps off as Thanos plans an attack on NYC, while the Avengers left Earth to fight another battle.
Having Spider-man obviously boosts sales, but dynamic wise it's great to see Octo-Spidey interact with heroes of noble intention. Cage's history with Spider-Man and his career crisis is enough to carry the first story arc.
Looking for more indie comics suggestions as well as something from DC..who pissed me off with the beginning of Forever Evil.

Been reading Batman Zero Year and Superman Unchained which is better than any other Supes title in the new 52. I just picked up Infinity #1 but haven't read it yet. Been spending my time/money on Spiderman and Batman back issues from the 80's.

I'm actually going to pick up the SuperMan/WonderWoman book. Count me in the group of fans that approve this pairing.
Dredd is something I might pick up, also Valinats Unity looks cool. Hoping to find a non-superhero book I can get into.

I've been reading the Uncanny X-force comics series and I just finished the Archangel Saga. About to start the Otherworld story.

frick you Scruff, Uncanny Xforce was gonna be my contribution. Did you start from the first Xforce revamp?
Cyclops was basically the Prof X of this incarnation of Xforce. This "wetworks" type X-squad.
I don't keep up with many titles these days and what I do is part of Marvel/DC so I don't have much more to add other than I'm looking forward to Justice League 3000 coming in December. Although, I'm having to look past its role in the cancellation of Legion of Superheroes...again..

Remender's Uncanny Xforce is one of the best run's I've ever read.
After he left Uncanny Xforce, he started a new title, Uncanny Avengers. It's a Xmen/Avengers team book but Remender is following up on the Dark Angel Saga there.
I'm waiting for him to finish the current storyline and then I'm going to pick up the trade's of that series.

At the beginning
Same concept as Uncanny Xforce but this team did much more killing imo. A very fun book.

Agreed.
I hope this pairing truly takes off and it makes its way over to movies and TV.
Ron, email if you want me to recommend you an incredible crossover fanfic series that's nothing short of well done. It's centered around Superman and fleshes in Marvel and DC together so seamlessly. Here's a little spoiler, his love interest/girlfriend is anther Kryptonian.
