the talent is not to the level we have had in past years but I think this game was a low point for the D and it will only improve. NOt going to see wholesale personel changes but It can be tinkered with and experience will come to these young guys and they will improve.

It's time to put White and Robinson in and let them get up to speed. Collins shouldn't even be on the field

Yes. Once we get Rashard Robinson in there and Kwon plays at least 90% of the time.

Yep. In the sense that when a homeless bum finds a penny on the sidewalk, his financial condition improves. The only thing that can fix this defense is recruiting.

Exactly. Jalen Mills needs to also move to the slot and a change at safety is needed.

Nobody on that defense should even be on scholarship, let alone on the field.

There is always a chance. Maybe the end result is bend but don't break style defense before the Independence Bowl.

Talent is good enough, just need to tighten up on execution, and try to develop some younger guys establish more depth! Defense will improve!

Have you not seen our last few recruiting classes? That is an awful excuse. We have nothing but 4 and 5 stars on defense. The issue is pressuring the QB and safety. Recruit that and we're good. Kendall Beckwith has got to be one of the answers on defense

Did tre white get hurt? Got burned once early in the game (was on the guy was just a perfect throw) and then after that saw a lot of Collins. At CB I hope we see more of D Thomas, White, and Robinson. AT safety, would like to see more of Jefferson, he has looked good in limited PT and Thompson, can't be worse in coverage than Eugene or Loston, and is pretty good in run support. Martin and Mills are adequate in the secondary if these guys aren't ready. Loston, Eugene, and Collins shouldn't be starters unless these younger guys really aren't close to being ready.

Don't know, but it will be hard for them to.

Dline gets no pressure, freak is overrated, Allen, and Rasco get no push. Ego is good. But we do t have a dline that can makes plays and we have always had that.

Lb, not much you can do when your mlb only has a few solo tackles in the game. He just sucks, and there must not be anybody to take his place.

Db's technique is way off and are confused even what zone they are supposed to be covering. Loston will not look at the ball and try to make a play. Collins shouldn't be on the field.

There is just so much to fix. It sucks for the first time in years we have a very good offense and it may not matter because the defense is bad.

Neither of the Jalens should be on the field. Neither should Loston, Ronald Martin,Welter,or Barrow. Don't even get me started with this super star D-line. Pretty embarrassing

Beck with, hasn't played in the last two games. He must not have it yet to not even get a chance to spell welter any.

Beckwith should be on the field just based on shear athletic ability whether he knows the calls or techniques or not. We need more speed size and tenacity at LB. Kwon is good, Barrow is adequate, we need a third LB who can halfway play.

I agree with your assessment of Beckwith but Barrow hasn't shown me anything. Kwon is the only LB that is worthy of a starting spot. The entire Secondary needs to be replaced with the newcomers. The Jalen's project is a failure, and Loston and Martin need to be filling water cups on the sideline. After watching the technique of the db's yesterday with regards to defending the pass and not playing the ball,I'm pretty sure that Cory Raymond needs to be shown the door as well

Agreed. Secondary getting lit up. Guys just raising their hands in disbelief after wide open TD passes.

White played and was abused a couple of times like the rest of the DBs that played.

After yesterday, it looks like the topside for this team is 8-4 and even that is iffy with this D. We lose to Bama and TAMU for sure. Can we out score Ole Miss and UF? I say we lose one of those two. That leaves no room for error to get to 8 wins.

4-4 in the SEC - does that sound realistic based on what you say yesterday? Could be 7-5 now that I think about it a bit more.

I don't care who has 4 or 5 stars, if you don't show it on the field, then maybe they need to sit and we try some of the younger guys. Our D was exposed last night- the D line was pushed around and the DB's were embarrassed, out of position on several plays.
