Is LSU still stacked with quality players

For the last 10 years or more most 'experts' would say that LSU had more talent than any other school. Since we have more NFL players than anyone I'd say that probably was true.

Where are we now? It seems that in the last several years we have been out-recruited by other top programs in the SEC, not by much, but maybe enough to make a difference down the road. What's the answer, do we still have the top to bottom quality that marked the program over the past decade?

Serious question.

Stacked on the opposite side of the ball than what we're used to.

Over 10 years, yes. Over the last three or four, no. All the idiots who didn't worry when we kept signing 3-stars and reminded us that Mathieu was only 3 stars can now squarely shut the frick up.

I think we have some stars, but we aren't as athletic as some other top tier teams on D.

Guys that look the part:

Thompson
Beckwith
Alexander
White
Mills

Everyone else looks overmatched. I really want to see the hound dlinemen, especially the ends. We have to get some penetration in the middle, and some pressure out of the front 4

This has Jordan Jefferson written all over it. The defense is young. The defense is inexperienced. The defense is garbage. There is no talent on our defense.

You may want to check the star ranking of our starting 11 on D.

Loston
freak
Kwon
Mills
Ego
Rasco
White
Allen
Hunter

Nope, we aren't getting torched with lowly rated players.

Oh, I know. Just pointing out that aren't putting low ranked recruits on the field in most instances.

We have talent on D,if you ask me...I don't know what is up with the D this year.It will be better simply because...

And many,many more!

Offense will be fine next year simply because...

And many,many more!

The problems on defense for the most part, I are not from a lack of talent, but more of a lack of execution. you can have all the talent in the world, if you don't know what defense you're in or what your responsibilities are , you will get owned! I think the talent is there, just need to keep learning from and correcting our mistakes. I think ill defense will improve the more game experience they get!
