Freeman side stepped all of the local reporters and gave an interview to ESPN where he said he wants to be traded. Schiano and the Bucs are pissed. A report broke out that Freeman would be added to the inactive list for Sunday's game. Schiano did not deny nor confirm this report when asked today.

Carson Palmer:

quote:

This week after Bucs franchise quarterback Josh Freeman was benched, Palmer reignited the flames saying the Bucs contacted his agent “a lot.”

quote:

Tampa planned it out. It had extensive talks to try to get a trade done. A deal was within its grasp, so much so that the Buccaneers believed Palmer would be theirs.

And just when the Buccaneers thought they would land him, the Cardinals stepped in and made an offer the Raiders could not refuse. Arizona, not Tampa, got the trade done.

In the end, one of Palmer’s agents, Dave Dunn, helped steer his client to Arizona instead of Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers felt jilted, betrayed. It did not play particularly well in their training facility. And the Buccaneers had little choice but to find their new emergency backup quarterback, North Carolina State’s Mike Glennon, in the third round of the draft.

That organization is a dumpster fire from top to bottom. And it's so fun to watch burn.

This whole thing couldn't have happened to two nicer guys than Schiano and Freeman

Schiano has had this planned from day one. Dude is a first class POS. I can't blame Freeman for not wanting to play under him.

I'm not defending Schiano. I believe he is in over his head. But, what is he supposed to do? Freeman doesn't show up for a team photo. Freeman doesn't show up for his own football camp. Freeman is 11-23 as a starter since the beginning of the 2011 season. Freeman has "demons" as reported by Shaun King and various other local radio shows. Supposedly he indulges in booger sugar from time to time. He's not dedicated to his craft. The reason for his benching has more to do with off the field issues as compared to on the field.

ZOMG!! The coach tried to get a QB that isn't a borderline retard!!

What's Freeman's excuse for playing like shite in a contract year?

Or his excuse for playing like shite when Raheem was around?

Or wanting to leave when Raheem was here, considering how much faith Morris put in him, and reached for him with a #17 overall pick.

Schiano may be bad, but Freeman sucks donkey balls.

Schiano's most definitely going to be here for another year after this one.

Freeman's been gone. Let him rot.

Dude is flat out stupid, and hasn't wanted to be here in a long time.

I'd rather be a Jags fan. There is at least a chance their ownership and management are competent.

I find it amusing listening to all the know it all's. Who have no idea what is going on here locally defend Josh Freeman and criticize the Coach.
Josh Freeman is a pathetic waste of of time. He makes 8 million per year and can't show up on time.

The freeman situation just reminds us all how young some of these guys are mentally and physically. Freeman's been acting like a teenager since this all started.

Mentally, yes. Physically, not so much.

Freeman seems to be a poster-child, along with JaMarcus Russell, for why teams should hire private detectives to shadow potential draft picks as well as why QBs should undergo a lot of psychological evaluation.

Quality QBs are so hard to replace that you don't want to risk getting one who will either get a multi-game suspension or have so much Purple Drank that they start to look like Grimace.

Freeman was hot garbage. I'm looking forward to our future with Glennon.
