Meat wrapped with butcher paper

I got some nice steaks that are wrapped in butcher paper. How long do i have (refrigerated of course) to store them? Do i need to worry about them drying out?

If I had to guess, 8 days or so. Just judging by previous discussions.

^ no way would I wait 8 days. I'm sure you would be fine (in terms of not getting sick). But if I buy meat and don't eat it after a couple of days of being in the fridge, I freeze it

The fridge will dry it out in the butcher paper, no idea how long that takes, but I have made the mistake before...
