Supply and Demand....

I feel there are more Louisiana hunters hunting Mississippi than Mississippi hunters (legally at least)

There's certainly an assload of la hunters hunting ms.

I'm glad I don't have to buy that license anymore.

If you have utility bills in Mississippi then you need to become a resident long enough to buy lifetime. That is if you plan on hunting there the rest of your life.

I have lifetime in La. and Ms. so I feel like I am covered. I'm looking forward to using both in retirement pot licking all over the two states.

We have a camp up there but there is no way we could get residence. The club owns the camp

I own property there but do not reside there. And I still have to pay the same price to hunt my own land as a stranger would. Ridiculous.

Actually, I originally thought that if you owned your land, as long as your name was on the deed, you could hunt without a license. However, I looked it up before posting and that only applies to RESIDENTS of MS. We own our own property over there, that's why I was curious.

On a second note, I would much rather pay the $400 to hunt MS than hunt here in LA all the time. Way more deer, bigger bucks, better genetics, etc. than where I'm used to hunting in LA, at least on our property.

I buy Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, and a South Dakota 7 day every single year. And I am not a resident of any of them.

Luckily none are big game, only small game/migratory birds but still sucks every year.
