Don't go for the fake FG. Kick the easy 3. Then LSU fans would not have to listen to Auburn fans thinking they were right there? And all the complaining from SEC rant about a "close game" with Auburn would be gone? Anyways

I agree but the SEC rant thinks differently. But yes I agree with you. I just get tired of hiring people at work thinking it was such a close game lol.

I guess the point is that while the probability was low, that there was a theoretical chance for a nail biting finish because the separation between LSU and Auburn with the amount of time on the clock was enough for a comeback and a 3 possession game would have made that even less probable.
Of course, this is a moving goalpost argument. I guess people didn't like being nervous at all about the outcome when it could have been "even worse" and therefore see a massive deficiency there.
