Anyone have a secret ingredient to a good Bloody Mary?

The wife loves them and can't decide what she's missing. I can't stand them, so I'm no help. She says The Chimes makes a fine one and the Zing Zang/ Vodka concoction doesn't company at all.

One of the vendors at the Farmers Market sell a great mix. Can't recall the name. Somebody here will know it.

I don't like Bloody Mary's, but I did like the one the "expert" at Blind Tiger in Shreveport made. Apparently, people always liked to buy his mix and add vodka.

What I remember being different about his was the good, thicker than normal body. He used A-1 steak sauce and Abita Turbodog in his mix.

This is the correct answer.

Ice to the top 3/4 vodka
And fill the rest with zing zang .. Dash of celery salt and a stick of celery.

All done and this is exactly what chimes does

I figured you had a few of the original Chimes hippies on speed dial.

Horseradish sounds intriguing I'm told.

I like the Tabasco mix. I use Absolut Peppar and a good solid squeeze of lime. And lots of green beans (okra and olives aren't really my thing).

I used absolut Orleans when I could find it on the shelves (mango and Peppar mixed), but I think they finally stopped making it,
