Red zone conversions: Each team has been great through three games. Auburn is the only team in the SEC to score 100 percent of the time, while LSU is No. 2, scoring 93.75 percent. LSU, though, has scored 11 TDs in the red zone, compared to Auburn’s six, and scoring TDs are primo in SEC games. Outside of Texas A&M, LSU has recorded the most attempts in the red zone with 16.

yep, of course the competition is a factor.

You take out the first two drives against TCU with their, ahem, aggressive DBs in the end zone and that stat gets even better. I think overall since the TCU game against the dregs of our schedule we are 8 of 10 attempts result in TDs.

If we are still hovering around 75% after the next two weeks then I'll be ecstatic. (unless the number is still 11 of 16)

Was wondering the same thing. I guess the stats count kneel-downs at the end of the game (booooo!) because this is the only one I can find:

quote:

1st and 10 at LSU 31 Anthony Jennings rush for 17 yards to the LSU 48 for a 1ST down. 13 45
1st and 10 at LSU 48 Terrence Magee rush for 3 yards to the KntSt 49.
2nd and 7 at KENT 49 Terrence Magee rush for 2 yards to the KntSt 47.
3rd and 5 at KENT 47 Terrence Magee rush for 20 yards to the KntSt 27 for a 1ST down.
1st and 10 at KENT 27 Alfred Blue rush for 3 yards to the KntSt 24.
2nd and 7 at KENT 24 Alfred Blue rush for 6 yards to the KntSt 18.
3rd and 1 at KENT 18 Alfred Blue rush for 3 yards to the KntSt 15 for a 1ST down.
1st and 10 at KENT 15 Team rush for a loss of 1 yard to the KntSt 16.
End of 4th Quarter

We are truly 100% in the redzone. They shouldn't count a mercy knee. Whatever, we are still so much more efficient than last year.

Frustrating that our kicker's longest FG of the season is a 28-yarder though

Redzone TDs is what counts. You can be 100% with all FGs, which would suck. We were 102 last year scoring TDs at 51%. Much improved so far.
