Searched but I didn't find any discussion on this topic.

We have a holiday here in Korea, and aside from entertaining my future in-laws, I was looking for something to watch. Low and behold I found this gem. It's a Netflix original series that can only be described as a darker version of the West Wing, where the focus is on Congress instead of the Executive branch.

IMDB description

Check it out if you're into political dramas.

Bought season 1 on ebay for $16. Fantastic show. Spacey and Wright are fantastic. Powered through it in 2 days.
Can't wait for season 2.
Underwood breaking down the 4th wall is a fresh take.

Yep. That part is cool too. It's like a more hetero version of the Newsroom, without the MSNBC bullshite and Coldplay playing in the background.

The TD search really is absolutely worthless.

I pretty much google my TD searches.

House of Cards + Tigerdroppings would actually yield results but using the TD search yields nothing.

My girlfriend and I just starting watching this series. On episode 3. I really like how it's shot. You get Frank's inner dialogue/explanations of what he is doing/thinking. It really helps explain his strategy.

Somewhat different, but not necessarily better.

I really enjoy how they frame the main character--you WANT to like him, you want to pull for him, he's a political bad-arse, yet he does such terrible things at times, it's hard to keep pulling for him. He reminds me a bit of Jaime Lannister from GoT in that way--great character but it's hard to forgive a couple of really terrible things he does.

I can't get past Kevin Spacey's fake accent.

Thumbs down.

I enjoyed the show, but at times the fake accent paired with a bit of overacting started to get on my nerves.

If you want a bad fake accent, listen to Jason Statham do a "Texan" impression in that movie Parker.
