Should the big points by Ala and Tam worry me?

My friend suggests that the fact that A and M scored many big points on Alabama and Alabama scored big points on A and M, meaning both have hugely powerful offenses (while, according to my friend), LSU scored essentially the same amount of points against a weak foe, Kent St.

I am not an American college football expert, but I told him that LSU didn't go first team all game, the coaching and/or defenses were bad for that game, etc.

My friend says I am stupid. I am telling him that I believe that I am more correct than him.

Am I at least somewhat correct?

Thank you for your input.

You're the first to admit this.

Your friend is exaggerating, but given our current deficiencies on defense, it will be difficult to stifle TAMU and Alabama. TAMU's mobile quarterback and spread offense will be particularly challenging for our lackluster LB's and secondary.

But we have time to improve before we face either of those squads. UGA looms, however.

It will be interesting to see how we fare against Marshall and the AU spread this weekend.

I am originally from India and fairly new to college football so I cannot claim any expertise.

Your friend sounds like another ignorant, crimson kool-aid drinking homer...Probably has less football IQ than you do.

Your friend is a chicken little. If TAMU and Bama played a low scoring game, he would have claimed that their defenses were superior and LSU has to worry about scoring on those teams.

Of course, rant may be a bad place to look for advice. But it may be better than your friend.

Mr. YellowShoe, I am very thankful for the informative responses I have received here, and the courtesy given to me by most of the posters.

I feel much better because I want LSU to win the National Championship.

the other way to look at is is that both of their defenses are vulnerable.

I would worry. We should have scored 92 against Kent State. I'm worried about how Cam Cameron and Mettenberger are meshing together.

You are slowly becoming my favorite poster on this site.

As others have stated, I am more interested in why both defenses allowed so many points.. makes them look suspect.
