He wants to compete the second he sets foot on campus. It's very unlikely he takes the job from AJ, but he will try at least. If he's the second best QB on the roster, I don't think he'll redshirt even as a backup.

I would think he'd RS especially if Rettig sp? is still there.

It won't be his choice whether he redshirts or not. He will get the opportunity to compete next spring though, no question about that.

It's likely, but LSU is going to put the best player on the field regardless of class or future situations. They aren't planning for 5 years from now. Les might not even be here then, who knows? If Harris is clearly the second best QB on the roster, he will see the field his freshman year IMO. If Rettig looks game ready and is comparable to Harris, then he'll probably play instead.

Bolden is a senior. Also, he currently is #4 on the depth chart.
