I think we sat by the same guy.

He threw in the spring game an had good touch. Trent dilfer said last year at the qb camp Jennings is a passer first who can run. I think its a perriloux package there working on 4 later in the year. Just another piece of our offense other teams have to worry about!

Last week I heard someone call Jennings "just another Jordan Jefferson."

The kid's a stud. Some of our fans either don't know anything about the kid's game or they just see that he's black and wears an LSU jersey thus, He's Jordan Jefferson. I'm giving our fans the benefit of the doubt and prefer not to think of it as them being racist.

Some of our fans are just plain stupid and ignorant. That's all there is to it. It's bad enough when somebody is stupid and they're aware of it. It's worse when they're stupid and actually think they know something.

I don't think they realize that those are the plays that they're going to call when the backup is in for junk minutes at the end of blowouts. Less risk, but you still give the backup some play time under center in a real game situation.

Are you serious Jr? Tough to tell sarcasm sometimes on this board.

Can't throw. He has the highest passing completion percentage of any of our QB's? Really!

They need to let him throw. Why groom a newbie if you're not going to let him off the leash a bit?

Some?
88-21 and they still bitch and think they know more than the coaching staff.
It's really as funny as hell.

When up by 30 with less than 5 minutes, throwing is perceived as excessive or too aggressive. Agree with it or not, running in this situation is commonly accepted as the sportsman's mode of operation.

I agree, you don't thrown on an opponent with the game far out of reach, but I'd like to see the backup get a series or two earlier in these tuneup games. I guess the fear is a turnover or three and out that stalls your momentum, but seems worth the risk to me.
