I thought I had heard that was in the works for a while and Mack Brown would move into the AD spot.

they are going after the big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby as their AD or arizona states AD steve patterson

if the big 12 comish comes (former stanford AD), expect david shaw to be the next texas coach

Don't think so. I live in Texas and most still like Mack and he is one helluva fundraiser. That seems to be one of the things everyone UT fan says about Mack and Dodds.

It probably is time for Mack to assume the AD role, might be a good fit and a way for Texas to avoid a huge buyout.

The question is do you want Mack hiring the new coach or not?

texas will always make money but i've read rumors that some of the boosters have been making calls to coaches around the country gauging interest

he has probably been told that Mack has to go and my guess he does not want to be the bad guy. Someone else will be brought in to be the heavy

dodds was the only thing keeping mack afloat, if they get bowlsby then expect david shaw to get a serious courting

Fine by me. As long as they keep their grubby paws off of Oliver Luck

Yep. And the possibility of Mack Brown being named AD to replace dodds is hanging over them like a dark cloud.
