Is "bad angles" the new "Short side" option?

More angles talked about on here than a rocket scientist convention. I believe the bad angles have a lot more to do with others responsibilities braking down than it is a case of just not knowing where to run. Much like our inability to run the option had zero to do with short or wide side.
Maybe the short side problem was really an angle problem.

Well that's like your opinion. I didn't open the link but I am betting bad angles on D

More like the new "got to get the tight end involved in the throwing game".

Proper execution of the option does require an understanding of angles.

^This.... And why don't we do moar screens and other passes to the running backs?

Because when a team is stacking the box, you don't attack the flats and shallow middle, you attack the seams. That's why we have two receivers who have 400 yards receiving. When the flat's open up, you'll also see a more effective running game for the same reason.

Last year we kept trying to attack 8 men in the box with quick slants. Dumb! If a team has two safeties at 8 yards, they are right in the path of the slant route.

Amen. Which is why everyone was killing our slant routes. South Carolina almost made us pay with a pick 6. I believe Northern Tejas did the same in the opener, though they ran it down to inside the 10 before being pushed out of bounds.

I was being sarcastic. I'm thrilled with our "new" offense this year. In Cam I trust.

I call your typo boom, and I raise you a "we can't find a secondary receiver on a screen", and a Welter"takes himself out of every play"
