Shooting time is either 5:27 or 6:27, I'm thinking 6:27 sounds/looks right.

For Shreveport, opening morning shooting time is 6:27am.

Here is a link to another discussion we had about it:

ETA:

The listed sunrise time for September 14th for NOLA is 5:44am. Add 1 hour for daylight savings, so 6:44am. Add 13 min for me being in Shreveport, so 6:57am. Subtract half an hour for shooting time, so 6:27am.

This can give you pretty precise info for exactly wherever you hunt for the entire year. Just plug your towns name.

I don't duck hunt but deer hunt . I downloaded an app for it that tells me what time sunrise and sunset is for your location and that is what I use.

easiest way is to just google your zip code followed by sunrise or sunset and subtract or add 30 minutes.

google give the sunrise time before any links so its easy on a phone too.

There isn't an app for that that used your GPS location?

That's great and all if you have an internet signal where you are hunting, but I get no signal and pretty spotty internet service where I hunt south of Shreveport.
