imo everything that has happened so far should be left alone. too many things would have to be looked into. peoples intentions would have to try and be sorted out in multiple matchups to actually change anything which is impossible to do.
for the rest of the season though I would say that people better make sure to not go over the 28 starts or they won't count. it was noted at the start of this league that 28 was going to be the cap so everyone was made aware of this. now that we know espn's settings are retarded we can adjust accordingly
Sounds good
If CQQ resigns at the end of the year who will replace him?
I'd like to give it a shot myself because i have some solid ideas(i can divulge further if you want to know) and I basically ran my friends league a while back.
Though somwone like TTT or CQQ could handle the money part because i'm a newb with that stuff

How can we trust someone who doesn't set their lineup every week?
Idea: This week determines who leads us next season

Konichiwa bitches. Moving forward, if you have more than 28 starts after your match up concludes, you will automatically forfeit your win. If you are like Fear, you will not have to worry about forfeiting anything as even 40 starts will not save you.

The rule was as long as you didn't have 28 before the last day. Now we can't go over 28 no matter what? Is this allowed in ESPN so we have to monitor ourselves or what?
Edit: I really wasn't aware we had to control the 28 ourselves. If we do need to, I will do so without a problem!! Just don't wanna screw up on Sunday and have to forfeit because of it.
TIA

Most of us did not bother to check the rules on this. We assumed at 28 starts, your scoring stops. When the season started, we agreed on a hard number of 28 and the majority think we should hold true to that so yes, we have to monitor ourselves.
Understandable, that's why we aren't going back and adjusting anything.

Thanks for quick reply. I'll be checking it closely to make sure on heavy start weeks, only my best players get in. Sorta excited about the new challenge. No more picking up scrubs on weekends to try and get extra points!!

Thanks for being a good sport about it. I guess it was my fault for not reading the fine print of the rules and making it clear to everyone. Hopefully it doesn't change the playoff scenario.

Speaking of which... Playoffs last two weeks... Will it be a 28 for each week cap or a 56 for the 2 weeks combined?
Posted on 1/21/14 at 9:03 am to Coach D
I'm assuming it will be 56 starts total

I've been setting it lately with great consistency fwiw
I have a ton of great ideas if you want to hear them

Alright:
1. Playoff teams increased to 6-8(league vote on which number)
2. Addition of a G,F,UTIL and IR Spot. You'd start 8 players and have 4 on your bench
3. Regular Season reduced to 16 weeks(18 weeks is too much imo, and no one wants to play on the final week of the reg seasson when things get wacky)
4. 1 extra point for every 3 point FG made(balances out the guards vs bigs a bit)
5. If you go over the start limit: you'll get docked points proportionally to how many you went over.
Thoughts?

1. Playoff teams increased to 6-8(league vote on which number) - I'm good with 6 but we'd have to end on week 16 to keep the 2 week/playoff match up going
2. Addition of a G,F,UTIL and IR Spot. You'd start 8 players and have 4 on your bench - We talked about that one year but most liked the 5 spots. The IR spot should be included, the others will have to be voted on. Obviously, max starts will need to be voted on if we move to this many spots. I'm ok either way, though I do think 8 may be excessive.
3. Regular Season reduced to 16 weeks(18 weeks is too much imo, and no one wants to play on the final week of the reg seasson when things get wacky) - With 4 playoff teams this year, it shouldn't an issue. Championship will end 1-1/2 weeks before the regular season concludes.

IMO, it doesn't matter who the commish is. Most important thing is getting the most participation we can get and voting on all this.
We have a pretty solid group of regulars (Tots, Drake, Fear, DJ, Dro, etc.) and some great new additons (None & Lobos). We don't hear from Fleur or DCB but I think they are pretty active.

Cool
In regards to the roster spots: if we did make the change to 8 a good baseline for starts would be 40 or so.
Most leagues start 10(PG/SG/G/PF/SF/F/C/3 UTIL) and bench 3 si i feel 8 is a good middle area.
Starting 5 is too limiting imo and more will make you have to build a more solid overall team which is more fun

I'm a fan of every one of those...maybe not so much the 8 starters but I'd be fine with a UTIL position added to make 6. All the rest are great

8 playoff teams are too much, I'd like 6 with a UTIL & IR spot. I also like the idea of 2 week playoffs.
