John Prine IMO though he hasn't been very productive in a while.

I cast my vote for Andy Partridge.

Had a great run through the late 70's into the 80's. Wished he would have kept it up.

Going further out Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock have been stretching it out for almost 1/2 century now.

Guy Clark......shocked that nobody mentioned him in 8 pages.

Yall really need to listen to his work.....his new album is excellent.
