Rummel v. LSU - Fight song
Need some verification to throw in someone's face. Who had the fight song first?

In 1958, LSU adapted the song "Hey Look Me Over" from the Broadway hit Wildcat! for it's new fight song.
LSU's official fight song is "Fight for LSU".
It's weird to think that 99% of the LSU fan base doesn't even know the fight song. When I would sing it in the stands, a few of my friends thought I was making up the lyrics.

I'd be more impressed if you know the words to Chinese bandits.

the name of the song is Hey look me over. And they both stole it, but LSU stole it first.

So rummel wasn't even smart enough to compose their own fight song.....figures
A lot of local bands did this.

I can barely entertain the Clemson v LSU "Who had it first" arguments.
Except, Clemson's band can still play Tiger Rag.

Agreed. Fight for LSU > Hey Fighting Tigers.
One's a legitimate fight song, the other's a freaking Broadway show tune.

We do. Same colors, fight song, and alma mater. We are run by the same congregation though.

East Jefferson's Lyrics. To the tune of A&M's Fight Song ( kinda fits A&M too)
For Its the home of the P*%#ies
It's the home if the pr&cks
School with a$%holes and
The school with the d#%s
School with the boys that'll blow you any time
Come on EJ Warriors, Blow me for a dime.
Okay, that's the Bonnabel version.
