Ok, hindsight, now that we've see both have their fare share of early success? Any regrets? Reid a product of that SF scheme? Vaccaro good for Saints scheme as he can help all over by lining up in multiple spots? Would/Does Reid generate any more buzz because he's a local boy?

Is this a valid comparision? And will these two always be linked because Reid was available?

Dude, it's been one game. It's really not the time for reflection.

I think Vaccaro is more multiple and fits what this defense is trying too accomplish. He's proving me how wrong I was on draft day every chance he gets.

FWIW, I'll never link the two. Now Jarvis Jones on the other hand...

Reid was ballin' yesterday. He had moments at LSU but nothing like I'm seeing now. More than I expected. But same could be said for Vacarro

Vaccaro made the play to stop Gonzalez from scoring the winning TD. That is what we have been missing for years.

Hard to compare the two Eric Reid is just a perfect fit for what the 49ers like from their safeties.

I think all 3 players were great fits for their organizations.

Vaccaro is just what we needed. A rangy safety with cover skills who can also deliver big hits.

Reid is just what the 49ers needed with Goldson going to TB. A big hitter with big-play potential.

Jones is the prototypical Steelers LB.
