At first glance...

Saints -3 @ Bucs
Ravens -6' vs Browns
Falcons -6' vs Rams

and maybe SF +3 @ Seattle

Detroit

Probably jump on Cowhead's picks again.

My survivor plays are still intact in the big pool: Colts, Broncos, and Seahawks with Houston pending.

Mine just came out and the Saints are -3.5. The juice for the hook though is -140. Is that about right? It seems a little high to me.

Varies from book to book.

..a jump to -140 seems high if the -3.5 line is -110.

That's what I thought. I don't usually buy points but -30 jump seemed high. I'll probably just roll with the -3.5. I checked Scoresandodds earlier and it went from -3.5 to -4.5 quickly so I was surprised that it was -3.5 on my book.

Remember what happened to SF last time they went up to Seattle late last season?

There's a lot of close games this next week. All but 2 games are under a TD.

Minnesota +7 @ Chicago... too many points for a divisional opponent.

I like Seattle -3 as well - the homefield is epic there.

Both SEA and SF looked good last weekend. Russell Wilson played great even tho the Seahawks only scored 12 points.

Try this:

Take another game (any) and buy a half point down from either -3.5, -7.5 or -10.5 and see how much the juice increases.

That Panthers defense is no joke.

Their front 7 was VERY good. I can see them giving a lot of teams trouble this year. Their secondary needs some work though.

Some games will lay heavy juice on the hook.

I just looked and the price to buy down the Falcons from -7 to -6.5 and the juice was -130. The juice for Seahawks from -3 to -2.5 is -140. Conversely, the juice to buy the Steelers from +6.5 to +7 is -130. So its definitely not only when you buy down.

Do most books have different numbers like this?
