Our middle linebackers are solid, not spectacular. Our OLB are mostly unknown outside of Haralson, who is another "solid" guy, but we need a playmaker to come out.
What I'm optimistic about is our d-line. The whole unit has been disruptive all preseason.

Yea our Dline looks to be legit 2 deep. I hope Foster plays. Other than the unknown at OLBer, I worry most about our inability to make big plays in the back half of the defense. They are the worse group of players when it comes to catching picks that I have ever seen.

They were good...sometimes. The oline was just inconsistent the entire game. Biermann has looked much improved though.
But yes, Dent was. On one side, he did better for us in pass protection that Lofton did when he was with us, but it looked apparent to me at least that we missed Loftin big time in our run D.

Lofton will never be that MLB that can stuff the run and then make a huge play in coverage, but he does 1 of the 2 great. Being in a 3-4 defense might actually make him more of an impact though.
DL does look better, but I think Jenkins will take over that starting DT sooner than later.

agree with Jenkins potential. I was big on him as a fit here. I don't see any easy outs with Bunkley's contract though. LINK

Sean Payton is 10-2 against Atlanta since becoming the Saints' head coach. Pete Carmichael is no Sean Payton. The Falcons haven't figured out shite, but let them think they have, Brees will put up 8 TD passes on them in the 1st half.
