I've heard the hype. I've seen the Pre Season All- American hype. I know he was one of the best high school sack leaders ever, but I have yet to see a defining moment in his career. Is it because he has only played about half of the snaps on defense? I am just waiting on that defining moment. You know it's coming. The Honey Badger had his 8 or 10 shining moments in 2 short seasons. Landry, OBJ, Hill, Hilliard etc... have all had great games that will forever be remembered. The Freak needs to step up. If he declares for the draft like most think he will, he only has 12 or 13 games left to do something memorable.

He will still be a first round pick even if he doesn't make a highlight reel play.

That's does us no good this season if he doesn't end up on the highlight reel.

Nah. Hype only goes so far. Sooner or later you got to show what you can do. Now, if they are double and triple teaming him like they are doing Clowney, that's a different story.

I was planning on re-watching tonight but I felt like TCU was trying to double Freak and that's what was freeing up Ego...... Any thoughts?

He was getting double-teamed vs TCU and handled it well.

what moment do you envision for a DT? Lav got a couple in 03 (destroying Auburn's backfield, and pushing the center into Eli), but I honestly don't remember "moments" for Kyle, Dorsey or Wroten. my most vivid memory of Dorsey may be the Chaz Ramsey play.

He started last year. Was the #2 DT behind Logan. This year hes the top dog.

He doesnt need to bust out on national TV to be a 1st round pick either.

Ego and Freak both did there jobs vs TCU. Did TCU do ANYTHING up the middle on us?? No. No they didnt. They did there jobs.

Since when is it the job of a DT to make highlight reel plays? I thought they were intended to take up blockers so the LBs and DEs can do their thing.
