How does it affect a recruit's decision to stay with a school? My general rule is that nothing matters until the L.O.I., but seems like an announcement on ESPN would carry more weight than most.

I dont think that it carries more weight simply b/c it is on TV. It's just that most TV announcements are made at the all star games later in the year and its less time to change the kid's mind.

If CRob chose Bama today and changed his mind later to go to LSU, I could live with it and would not think negatively of him for being a "flip=flopper.

While this was inspired by C-Rob, it's more of a general question... Personally, if I'm a h.s. kid and announce my decision on ESPN, I couldn't see myself changing my mind and getting egg on my face.
