Is there a better QB developer than Jimbo Fisher?

Going back to 2000, every QB he had for at least 3 years who started was drafted to the NFL with the lone exception of Marcus Randall. That list includes the following in order:

- Rohan Davey - 3rd round draft pick
- Matt Mauck - won national championship, 7th rd
- Jamarcus Russell - 1st overall draft pick
- Matt Flynn - national championship, 7th rd
- Christian Ponder - 1st round
- E.J. Manual- 1st round

And now this new guy looks awesome - Jameis Winston.

edited to fix a name.

Yeah if you didn't watch this kid make a few throws and say to yourself he is special, you don't know football and your probably an SEC homer

Regardless of the level of competition

And they were all exceptional in college. To me that speaks even more highly on his coaching job. There really is no common denominator among the elite or even just good NFL QB's (outside of Manning genes) that indicate any particular college program or coach churns out the best NFL QB's. I think the top 15 NFL QB's all went to different schools.

How about anyone who coached a good NFL QB.

Richt is a great call, even going back to his days at Florida State. 2 Heisman trophy winners, quite a few all conference guys, and top draft picks. Florida State always had a solid QB (with the possible exception of Thad Busby) during his 10 year run there and Georgia has as well since 2000. In fact, like LSU did after Fisher left, FSU QB's took an immediate nosedive right after Richt left, starting with Chris Rix.
