Offensive Positional Breakdown from TCU Game

Quarterbacks: A
Mett was decisive and accurate. Two throws really stand out: the back shoulder throw to Beckham, and the 15 yard out to Landry from the opposite hash. Both NFL-caliber throws. If he continues to play like he did last night, Mett will be the first SEC QB off the board next April.
Concerns: None really. There was one throw early in the first qtr. where he had pressure in his face, and he made a risky throw falling away, but was lucky to thread it between two defenders. Hopefully, that was an anomaly.

Running Backs: A-
Both Blue and Magee had nice games. Blue was a bit tentative at times, but that is understandable for his first game back. His fumble seemed to be more on Mett. Magee has been the pleasant surprise dating back to spring. Hilliard looked uncomfortable running the ball.
Concerns: None. With Hill coming back (probably in the Kent State game), I think, once again, we have a great stable of backs.

Fullbacks: B
Both JC and Neighbors had some nice blocks. Thought they played tough. Would love to see the FB dive removed from the playbook, except in goal line situations. Or at least use Hilliard like they did Ware, and let him run it when we are down on the other end of the field.
Concerns: None.

Wide Receivers: A+
What can I say. Monster game from OBJ and Landry. Yes, I could nit-pick about OBJ's two drops, but he more than made up for it in the return game. OBJ will be this team's MVP throughout the year. Dural looks like he will be a good one. Boone remains the reliable veteran. He seems to make nice catches when we really need one.
Concerns: That this will be the last year we see Landry and OBJ in a Tiger uniform.

Offensive Line: A
I had a feeling (like a lot of people) that Collins would be the best LT in the league this year, and damn if he didn't look it last night. There was a block he made on a trap play that was a thing of beauty, where he pulled inside and took out a DT and a LB. The whole line was very solid. Not perfect, but mighty impressive. Thought Porter was a nice surprise.
Concerns: Depth. Saw Washington in for one play. Hoping to see a lot of Washington, Fanaika, Pocic, and Austin in the next two games.

Tight Ends: B-
Really should be an incomplete with Dickson being out. Gordon is a nice blacker/6th OL. Smith had a couple of balls thrown to him, and could have made the TD catch, but was matched against a quicker DB. He spent a fair amount of time out wide. Would love to see him get in the middle of the field, even from the slot.
Concerns: None, really. I know that Cam will continue to work the TE's into the game plan.
