I attended the College Football Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony last night. Every fan should put this on their bucket list.

Charles Alexander, as previously posted, was enshrined .. class act (on his way to Dallas for the Sa night's game).

A panel of sportswriters (Tony Barnhardt, Wes Durham, Matt Stinchcomb, Desmond Howard, et al) opined for about 1/2 hour. Desmond, " LSU is the one team that plays Alabama consistently." He expects strong things from Zach M due to Cam. He picked LSU to win the National Championship.

He would end by saying " .. and that's why I pick the Tiiiiiigers", singing the 'i' with a smooth melody. Yeah, I got chills.

He's a smart man. I think we take CFB by storm. We will wipe our cornholes with Bama and Tamu.

Impossible . We're ranked too low, Mett's unproven, Hill' s toning to miss some playing time, lost to many on D, Bama's no. 1, playing freshmen etc., etc..

Although you are correct, he did add a little flavor to it being that he was present when it was announced.

So an event that the op attended last night and post about this morning is germans? All because Des reiterated what he said on tv?

That is stupid.

Thanks. Two more parts, albeit less important:

1) The seats I purchased were at table #83 (as far from the stage as one could possibly get). My son's co-workers were at the company table (up front). Last minute cancellation by the boss and his son; we get asked to sit with the co-workers. So yeah, I sat in Dan Cathy (owner; Chick fil A)'s seat. It was a much better view.

2) Afterwards, Charlie's on stage, sort of left alone. I pop up on stage, congratulate him; while posing for a pic, I go with "Hot boudin, cold cous cous" CA cracks up laughing, calls me old school, and we yack about me being in the student section there while he was playing. And he thought my Daaa Daa Daaa Da! shirt was cool (at least that what he said).

Haters gonna hate, but it was good night for me.

Got the privilege of going last year. Really is a great experience for any fan of the game. So much history there.
