Memphis: I never said it was an absolute, I was just coming up with a reason why he might be moving the announcement to Wednesday.

Obviously not as many Tards out there as I thought. So you don't think ESPNU will promote his commitment?

There is too much other stuff going on Fridays during football season. What other sports story will be out there on a Wednesday?

I wonder if ESPNU would call this news if they knew he was going to LSU? They would probably say no to anyone who picks anyone other than bama. ESPNU sucks up big time with them. We'll see if we get a big fish later whether its news worthy.

That wasn't at all your point though. Here is what you said...

I can tell you, ESPN will get more hits from a 5th pitcher in a MLB rotation having a hangnail than a 17 yr old high school kid committing to either Alabama OR LSU.

All of this is a product of losing DJ Fluker back in 2009. Now Saban can use him as an example of a guy from Louisiana who went to bama and got drafted in the first round. He can say that Louisiana guys have done well there and that Louisiana players are now part of their tradition with Fluker and Lacy having three rings. It's only going to get tougher to keep top Louisiana talent at home from here on out. Les needs to get a little bit nastier on the recruiting trail, even though we all know he doesn't want to do it that way.
