Quote - Word is starting to get out that the D is gonna smoke some people....they will be a better unit than last year.

Word secretly got out during fall scrimmages, D was beastly. Also noticed Miles never once complained about the D, just the offense being sloppy a few times.

I wanna help you. When you wanna quote something, highlight it underneath the text screen you type in, then hit the "quote" button next to the smilies. That will put what you wanna quote in a quote box. Very confusing otherwise.

No ones picking GA, Fla, ATM, USC or USC all of whom are ranked in the top ten. Guess LSU's better.

I've been saying for years that Desmond Howard is bar none the greatest college football analyst working today. That dude knows his shite.

even though I can't stand Michigan, I enjoyed watching Desmond play for sure (kinda how I feel about Manziel).

As an analyst, gotta respect Desmond also. Even when he's been critical of LSU he's been right. Only time he's biased is where ND and tOSU are concerned.

Des is a Michigan man. He will always give LSU its due as long as Les is at the helm. He's also smart enough to know that we will be up for bama and we have enough talent on the roster to beat everyone else.

That will not take much when you talk about the pass defense.

The last 5-6 games was a terrible thing to watch.

Post Bama was an abortion. It was like an all or nothing, and after they realized we couldn't win it all, they gave next to nothing.

Desmond Howard has always been a brilliant analyst, a scholar and a gentleman.

Montgomery and Mingo provided negative leadership.

I think the Defense last year was filled with to many stars that started believing their own hype and wanted all or nothing.

This season we do not have stars so I think they will be hungry trying to prove they are NFL material

It started with the last Alabama drive when they went 70 yards in 40 seconds and made the LSU pass defense look like crap.

Either Alabama exposed us or something went very wrong on the field or in the coaching booth upstairs that never got fixed for the rest of the year.

Have to hope it's fixed now.

and Lou said this morning on a SC segment that LSU would be the biggest contenders to bama this year. Said Cam could be a game-changer and anyone is crazy to sleep on Chavis and think this will be a rebuilding job

a little espn alternate reality this morning

This is what I've been saying. Before 2012 all the draft experts already had Mingo, Montgomery, and Reid as likely 1st round picks, and Logan was also highly regarded, so they didn't come out with anything to prove.

The best players on D last year were Minter and Lavar Edwards and thats because they had a chip on their shoulder and wanted to prove they belong in the NFL as well. Expect that same type of drive from everyone on this years D.
