This movie was awesome! It's hilarious from beginning to end. The fight scenes are expertly choreographed. The sounds and visuals are great. I suggest going see it on the big screen. It has a few touching moments so you sympathize with the characters.

I now know why it's at 79 on RT.

I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended.

EDITED: Did I say it was at 79%? My mistake. It's actually at 92% with critics.

But Hot Fuzz is the best! I've been dying to see this one. Will probably go tomorrow

It was a terrific movie. One of the things I love in the Cornetto Trilogy is how the characters carry on mundane conversations while everything goes to shite.

I thought Simon Pegg's performance was outstanding.

Fuzz really got boring for a bit and drug on before the awesome finale. World's End never had that happen. And Pegg was phenomenal.

I thought I started out kinda slow but picked up once they all started drinking. I laughed my arse off at some of the drunken conversations they were having. It really did remind me of being sober when all my friends are drunk and I have to listen to their dumbass conversations about nothing.

I agree and maybe I was hasty in giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. I would consider knocking it down to 4 just because while the first 30 minutes were funny, by minute 25 I was saying "OK, I get it. This guy is a liar and his buddies have every right to hate him. Let's move on."

...and oh, did they move on.

I would consider the first half to be closer to Fuzz and the second half to be Shaun on steroids.

Also, I would like to say Nick Frost is way more talented than I thought he was. He really opened my eyes.

For some reason it really bothers me that this is considered a "trilogy", it's like saying every Seth Rogen movie is a sequel to Knocked Up.

Love the movies though

Seth Rogan's movies don't have recurring themes, elements, and jokes.

Yes.

Don't take this as a trilogy in the usual sense. These movies share a few themes. One of which is the fanboy love of different movie genres.

And since the Wright and Pegg have said their future work won't be like the previous films, you can argue that a chapter has been closed and these movies deserved to be enjoyed together. (although they stand alone in their own right)

Really?
Let's all get together, smoke weed, crack silly jokes, crazy shite happens, we get in some sort of fight and break up as a friend group. At the end issue is resolved as we overcome whatever shite is happening, the end

i saw it yesterday. i don't think it's better than the first 2, but that's not really a criticism of the world's end as much as a compliment towards shaun and fuzz

It was quite good and very funny. I dunno how I would stack it up against Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, because those were really great, but it is safe to say that it is in the same league as those movies. I really dug the soundtrack, which is heavy on the sort of stuff MTV would play on 120 Minutes in the late 80s-early 90s.

Yes I heard that Dr Who seemed to be an obvious influence on the movie but I'm not a Who fan.

What about Pegg's character would you say was like Dr Who?

He just drops in and causes chaos. And he's operating on a different plane than everyone else.
