You do realize ESPN does not talk about sports, right? Minus the highlights (which are dominated by big market teams), ESPN is akin to a celebrity gossip show.

exactly

while the story Deadspin took apart may be inane, they laid out the template ESPN follows.

Yep. It's not like this Deadspin story should be made out to be something bigger than just another data point detailing the shite-show that is ESPN, but the people completely dismissing it out of hand are a little naive.

He's one of the most polished, well spoken former collegiate athletes out there. He's one of the greatet college QB's ever. Pretty sure he would excel at that gig.

His talent on the field would not do anything to help with his woeful lack of a personality.

ETA: And once again, why does he "deserve" to be on there?

That is A LOT of the content. Just total bullshite stories.

like the preponderance of bull shite stories and bull shite surveys in the sports world today. best stadiums, best fans, best student sections, best tailgating, etc, etc, etc. my head has exploded there is so much bull shite. i agree with the poster who says don't watch that stuff; it's garbage.

I'm at the point where I'd bet money Deadspin works for ESPN in some capacity. All of their "takedowns" just hype ESPN even more. All with helpful links!

Who writes about Tebow more? ESPN? Or those that hate ESPN's coverage?

Well he does have a name (what's his Q-rating or whatever they call it?) so he'd create a curiosity buzz initially. Maybe he'd do alright, maybe not, but the whole point is to draw ratings, which he'd do until he proves he's not good at it.

ESPN has turned into mainstream bullshite! Can't even watch Sportscenter anymore. Remember the day they use to show highlights? Me neither.
