12 team standard scoring non-ppr

QB - R Wilson, A Smith
RB - J Charles, A Morris, B Tate, M Ingram
WR - V Jax, V Cruz, C Shorts, Cordarrelle Patterson
TE - T Gonzalez, M Bennett
D/ST - Texans
K - G Hartley

I'd like to improve my RB/WR depth and I think Patterson could be a big time WR come mid season. Should I drop him for B Hartline and/or some other RB or hold steady where I'm at? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. FYI, I drafted in the 12 spot.

That doesn't look good at all. Zero depth at RB unless Foster gets hurt. Zero depth at WR. Wilson isn't exactly a great QB #1. You need another RB off the waiver wire desperately. I would drop Patterson.

I'm no FF guru, but in a 12 man league you're not gonna have a hell of a lot of depth, especially at RB. With that said, you have to get a top guy (meaning top 5 or so non PPR) at one of the 3 positions and I'm afraid I don't see that here, w/ the exception of JC maybe. You're RB's are solid for a 12 man league.

I'm assuming you went JC, AM, VJ, VC???
You must have had a 6-9 pick situation?

I wouldn't say it doesn't look good at all. It's an excellent starting lineup save for the qbs where wilson is a question mark.

I agree in regards to the depth. I was lucky to have J Charles sitting there at 12. Grabbed Morris obviously at 1 in round 2. Then didn't have another pick for 2 rounds. That's where V Jax and V Cruz were the best WR remaining. I held out of taking a QB as long as possible to try and build depth, but there just didn't seem to be much in the RB category.

Should I look at moving A Morris and Cruz or Shorts for a top tier RB or just see what happens and take my bumps during the bye weeks?

The other thing that sucked about this league is that there was a cap put on RB and WR per team at 4. So I had to take a second TE and a second D/ST or kicker for that matter.

below average team imho, sorry not trying to hate, but you asked

question marks at qb, oft injured rb1, sophomore rb for a coach with a history of shaking things up, vjax is good, but not an ideal WR1, Cruz decent WR2, shorts not proven consistent and on a bad team with a bad qb

ETA: you got jamal charles at 12?

Really? On a team with a sketchy qb and Adrian Peterson as a RB?

I disagree and thing Rueben Randle, Alshon Jeffrey, Kenbrell Thompkins, Kendall Wright, Malcom Floyd, Chris Givens all are better options IMO

I play in a few 12 team leagues every year. This team is not as bad as most are making it out to be. I think you are fairly solid at every position, minus QB. Both are decent and there is some upside. Do you start a flex also? Shorts (in a non-PPR) and Patterson aren't great bench options. Who else is available on WW?

Your team doesn't jump out as top notch, but you have a solid starting lineup. Just pray for no injuries. Looks on WW for some upside guys. I also don't really see much for trade bait to help you improve.

Chris Givens is the only one available on waivers. B Hartline is also available as a possibility. I know QB is a big ?, but I think he could be solid from week to week despite not having huge scoring weeks.

Last place is not in the cards. Have you played in a 12 team league with 11 other owners that know just as much as you. Probably not, and when you draft 12 its touch to lose out on all the main 2nd/3rd round guys.

I went RB/RB/WR/WR. I took the 2 best remaining at their respective positions at my draft spots. After those 4 the rest of my decisions can be questioned if you want.

All depends on Qb scoring...last year Wilson was the 5th highest scorer in our league, and I valued him very high this year.

I don't think you can really do anything about your team. You have decent 1 and 2 RBs but Morris didn't find the TDs easily last year and JC can get hurt any time, then you're looking at Tate to cover you??? Decent 1 and 2 at WR. You have to hope for something big out of Wilson and find yourself a good flex play if Patterson doesn't work out. 12 man league is tough though.
Again, you really need a legit top guy at 1 of the postions.

Aaron Rogers/Brees, type at QB
AP/AF/Doug Martin at RB
CJ/Marshall/Green
JG at TE

Good luck!

I disagree this year. There is tons of WR, QB and TE talent. I think the key is to stock up at RB early (at least first two rounds), then accumulate depth while people are targeting the big name QBs, WRs and TEs.

I got Lynch, Steven Jackson, Gore, Cobb, Torrey smith and Hakeem Nicks in the first 6 rounds of my draft, then paired that with Rusell Wilson and Tony Romo

This was a bad year to draft between 2nd and 6th or 7th I think. Outside of AP, there are alot of questions with those top RBs and alot of value throughout the first two rounds.

With only 14 roster spots (from your OP) it seems like there should be some better options on WW. Who are the 'top' 5 WR's on WW?

I agree. Drafting 12 though I felt that if I went RB/WR then there wouldn't be any RB left at the end of the 3rd with legitimate starter potential.

I'm about to find out. I'm in a 12 PPR and have the 10th pick. PPR will give me options that you didn't have like Cobb/Sproles types. I count 15 or less RBs that in my opinion are quality, so I agree w/ you in that you need to get them. With that said, there won't be too many teams w/ a shite load of good RBs so I'm gonna try to get a #1 at WR or QB and pick up the pieces later.

In my 10 man non PPR I have:
Brees
Forte
Spiller
VJAX
S. Johnson
T. SMith
V. Davis
F. Jax
Vareen
M. Bennet
Sea. Def.
Dawson SF K

The 12 man won't even come close to these names. 2 more teams make a HUGE difference

Ignore all of the QB crap. Wilson was the #1 qb the last 7 or so weeks of the season last year. I personally dont care for Smith but with Reid who knows.
QB - 1 top 12 player with top 5 upside.
RB - 2 top 10 runners with very little depth behind them. You wont get value in trading either of them unless the Foster owner has a player he would be willing to trade you to cover his butt. Keep an eye on Davis and Helu if one of your starters go down. Helu in particular, he would also thrive in Washington.
WR - 2 top 15 Shorts a top 30 guy. Patterson has quite a bit of upside IMO. Unless you are greatly upgrading I wouldn't move him.
TE - 1 top 5
D - top 5.
K - who cares

12 team league your team is solid.

First, there are 15 roster spots. The last is occupied by another K because there are max spots at the positions. Figured I didn't need to list my backup K.

Five top WR on WW:
K Wright- not fond of him
R Randle- I have Cruz
A Jeffrey-may be good, but damn Cutler throws everything Marshalls way
R Broyles- have heard nothing
B Hartline - I have actually though of picking him up a couple days ago in place of Patterson

Five to RB on WW:
M Leshoure - Not sold on him
F Jackson - Hate that CJ will take the main share
B Pierce - Not believing all the hype he gets as R Rice won't get spelled too often
J Franklin
Ryan Williams

What yall think I should do here?

Thanks for a little positive feedback. These are pretty much my sentiments about my team. I love getting the constructive criticism as well though.
