ST - LSU

No question about it.

LSU always has one the best ST in the NCAA. What would make this year any different?

I'll say this. I generally start getting really neurotic about the first game at this point in the season.

I'm cool as the other side of the pillow.

TE- TCU

D Smith. all thats needed

ST will be LSU for coverage a return purposes. TCU may have a better kicker I dont know about that stuff

We've got a lot of talent at TE. Not proven yet. But tremendous potential

I am just waiting to see the guys kick the ball in a real game ! I agree with what Les has done in 8 years on ST's is amazing - the best run in the history of LSU football.

I love Les...but let us not forget "punt ugly" formation year one. To his credit, he fixed it. However, those were plays I wish I could get out of my head.

Geaux Tigers.

TCU has some talent on Defense. This game will remain close until the second half. I think LSU is more talented but the offense needs to be able to move the ball and limit turnovers. IF they do we will be fine, but those thinking this will be a blowout haven't watched TCU play the last few years.

When it comes to QB...trust, but verify! Sounds like a good policy to follow...

I have watched them some and they have been solid but I have watched who they have played !

They are not ready to move into LSU land and I am one of those 41 to 13 who thinks LSU will walk through the Horn Frogs - I am not buying the Frogs !

I just read what a mess they have on OL - explain to me how they will do anything with that O they run if they can't spread LSU and gap us with a running game. - We have great speed on LB and huge men to move to push the middle. I just don't see it.

They think the have great safety play - I think we will have amazing safety play !

They will cheat with safety support early to slow our running game and I expect a early deep score that will set up 250 yards of rushing with about 250 yards in the air.

Bring it Frogs - !

I agree with this statement, but the 2 years that they went on their run (rose bowl victory, not sure about the other year). They had defensive studs, specificaly LB's, i think they are good on D now, but not like those years.

Aside from LBer, this is the best defense that TCU has fielded ever. The LB issue is very concerning, and we're gonna need two unproven guys to step up.

We have talent but yes it's not proven. I think D. Smith will be a stud but he hasn't played yet so you never know. And I really think Mett will be a top 3 SEC QB but at this point I would take Pachall.

I have watched them play. I think they have played more finesse teams that could stretch the field than we have. I think them not having Fields available for that first game hurts them quite a bit. A disruptive pass rusher could really give Mett fits. If he is given time we will do well. I think they don't typically play the same type of physical teams that we are. But you have to remember for the first game both teams are healthy. You know TCU will stack the box and make LSU move the ball in the air at least some. I am really positive that we have improved in this area, but I really would like to see it. LSU is the more talented team for sure, but it is college football, anything can happen.
