Q: I didn't see two guys I have had my eye on thus far, Tyrunn Walker and Andy Tanner. Did either see the field much against Oakland. They both had my attention against the Chefs (yea, I know).

Observation: My focus this game was on the starting oline. I know it's Oakland but, they were dominate. I thought both OT's played pretty much flawless, and to be honest, this was my biggest fear coming in to 13'.

Tanner was on the field with the 2s but the way Wallace was playing he never got a chance to do anything

I think he did assist on a tackle on one of the fumbles

LINK

Tanner played 21 snaps on offense, Walker played 18 snaps on defense and 3 on ST.

Wallace was so bad that it made Tanner unnoticeable

Thanks bro. Must have been somewhat uneventful. Don't think I heard either name called...

Walker was disruptive during his snaps. It's just Foster was a mad man and over shadowed walker.

He's looked all right.
Playing hard.

But he still has trouble finding the hole.
Or at least he did in the last game.

he averaged about 3.5 yds/rush... which if he does that during the regular season would give the O a lot of 3rd & short opportunities... which opens up the playbook and could lead to a number of big play chances

My honest answer is I think he's looked solid. He runs hard and is starting to do the little things right. He made a great catch and run during the Raiders game that showed soft hands and tough running.

I think he realizes that this is his make or break year. He needs to show he can be THE back, or the Saints will be making moves next year to remedy the situation.

He gets a ton of hate on here because of the school he went to. The fact that he has been slow to develop has only justified the hatred that he went to Bama. I don't care where he went and will cheer for him until he moves on from the Saints.

Decent. Still not worth what we gave up for him, but decent in two preseason games

Its the best he has looked this early.
No running back has been able to look good or great in the 1st half so far.
The passing game for whatever reasons has not opened up the run game for any of the rb's yet with the one's.

This. Ingram follows his blockers more than Sproles and his blockers are not doing him many favors. Sproles looks for the cut and uses his quickness. Sproles has looked better so far this year.

Jesus Horatio Christ. honest assesments and critism of Ingram without blind bashing. This can't be the real Saints talk can it?

Must be because Trade Ingram isn't in the title line

IMO, Ingram's vision is average, at best. Its almost like Ingram needs perfect blocking to get more than 4 yards. The catch and run was nice to see, though. If he plays well against Houston next week, I'll stop giving him so much flack.

You can deny it all you want but it's true.

Now that isn't to say there is no reason to criticize Ingram's production, because there certainly is...but to deny that there's a lot of sour grapes LSU fans here giving him shite for being a proud Bama alumnus is plain wrong.
