Am I the only person thinking Graham will have a down year...

I still think he will be the top TE, but I don't see him having a monster year.

First, the Saints want to run the ball more. Plus, with the addition of Watson, Stills, and Toon, Brees will need to spread the ball around more. You also have Colston and Moore to get balls.

I personally won't be using my second round pick on him, but it sounds like plenty of people are.

What do you think his numbers will be?

He'll only have 85 catches, he's going to suck.

regardless of his numbers, they will be at least 30pts higher than the next best TE and 80 pts better than the next tier. thats a nice weekly advantage if you ask me

I still think he will be the top TE, but don't think he separates himself like he and Gronk did last year. I could see Graham, Gronk, Witten, and Gonzales all around the same tier of points.

With the dropsies last year I would say he'll rebound and have a better season this year. Top TE regardless of gronk's health.

He doesn't NEED to spread the ball around. He's just very good at it. He is good at going through progressions and scanning to the next receiver if each option isn't open. You can bet that Jimmy is one of his first options on tons of plays.

They won't go to Jimmy any less. They know where their best production lies. His down year was last year and he had 85/982/9. That was with a bad plague of drops, an injury, and no Sean Payton. I don't see there being any situation, barring injury, that he finishes with less than those numbers.

Also, like others have said, he gives you the biggest positional advantage in the entire league.

He's in a contract year, totally healthy, has Payton back calling the plays. I don't see him being any worse than last year. The only thing that might hurt his production (other than injuries to him or brees) would be the saints trying to spread the ball more or run more, but I think they know graham is still the best option.

But is he worth a 2nd round pick in a 12 man draft?

I have a good feeling he will be there all the way through the 2nd in my draft tomorrow and debating the very thing as well

He'll finish within the top 12-15 WRs if not higher

Even with RBs being so thin?? In a 12 man league, wouldn't it be safer to go RBs in the 1st and 2nd?

Everyone is going at RBs. Rather than reach at a position, pick up what everyone else is passing over.

Yup. I just took him in the second round two nights in a row picking in the 6th and 8th spot. I'll give you the cores of both my teams to show you how I ended up at RB even with taking him in the 2nd...

Rodgers
MJD
D. Wilson
L. Miller
Garcon
Austin
Graham
J. Nelson
D. Richardson
V. Ballard

RG3
Charles
Bush
White
J. Nelson
D. Murray
Graham
Gronk
Hillman

The first team is with the 6th pick in a high scoring QB league (1 per 25, 6 per TD, and .5 per completion), so QBs are important. I went Rodgers/Graham to start, which is pretty much against every draft strategy in the book this year, but I came out with those three RBs.

Yeah I usually don't follow runs. I'll grab another position in anticipation that they'll be the next to have a run.

Last year was a down year for him due to injury and a case of the dropsies

I expect huge things this year

I'd rather have a top RB2 or WR1. But he is still worth taking towards the end of the 2nd in a 12 team league.

I'm still very leery about using a 2nd rounder on him because I believe he will see less targets this year.

No way I take him in rounds 1 or 2. I will take him in 3 if he is available and Brandon Marshall and Julio jones are not.
